Her band, Bees and the Bare Bones, won the national 2016 Chevy Tailgate Find the Next Local Legend competition. This took them to Nashville where they recorded Fool, which became a featured bonus track during the Chevy Top 20 on CMT, November 2016.
January 2017, she received Emerging Artist of the Year award with the City of Kamloops, sharing a second nomination with Bees and the Bare Bones. An early career highlight for her was in summer 2017, when her band opened the same stage as Kacey Musgraves and Willie Nelson at the Rockin’ River Fest in Merritt.
In addition to writing and performing she has hip hop, tap, and stage actress experience. She has performed in roles like Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Emotional Creatures, a play bringing awareness to international women’s issues. Implementing her talents for social causes, Madison was also featured on CBC Radio and CTV News online for her song “Somebody Loves You” taking a stance against bullying.
She just wrote the theme song for the Kamloops 2018 British Columbia Winter Games singing it at the opening and closing ceremonies to over 5000 athletes and volunteers. That song, “Moments in the Mountains” has over 100k streams on Spotify and has recently been joined by two more singles, “Too Late” (a collaboration with Joey Hyde) and “Can’t Touch”.
Grateful for the community support she’s received over the years, Madison loves supporting several local causes like the SPCA which comes as no surprise as she has two beautiful rescue dogs of her own.
Watch for singles from her debut EP to begin release late September 2018.
