Come and explore Gold Country's history! The museum's authentic and carefully appointed exhibits portray the history of the South Cariboo, the Indian tribes who first settled the area, the farms and ranches of Hat Creek Valley and of course the establishment of Ashcroft. Replicas of some early stores have been created and visitors will be offered a taste of what it was like to stroll down Ashcroft's Main Street at the turn of the century. The Archives hold extensive historical collections and photographs, which complete the story of the regional heritage. Be sure to view the replica of a small coal mine circa 1890, the Bethlehem Mine Archetectural Model and the 'Walk through Time' slide presentation.
