May 31st, 2006 LILLOOET GOLD RUSH DAYS We have the perfect weekend for you – warm weather, sunny sky fun for the whole family ! Join the ‘rush’ to Lillooet Gold Rush Days, held every July in the breathtaking, mountain community of Lillooet, BC. This fun-filled community celebration is the perfect opportunity to take a playful walk back in time to the glory days of the Gold Rush. Weekend events include a Friday evening Salmon Fest – the most succulent dinner in the land of the rivers. Saturday continues with Pack Horse Races, Logger Sport Competitions and Family Day fun and games for kids of all ages. Cheer on your favorite at the ever popular ‘Camel’ Races, held on Lillooet’s Main Street. Then, end the day with Saturday night live entertainment at many local ‘watering holes’. Wake up refreshed, and head off to the Sunday morning Pancake Breakfast – then spend a leisurely day wandering the beautiful town or take a side trip to one of the many scenic surrounding mountain, river and valley spots.
