Aug 19th, 2006 Clinton Country Jamboree August is a great time to visit Clinton. Sunny skies and wonderful fresh air offer you the perfect excuse to visit this friendly village for Country Jamboree. Celebrating the rich western heritage and the perseverance & courage of the Cariboo settlers, this festival is a wonderful tribute to Clinton’s past and present. Join the community for a day of family activities, sure to be fun for the whole gang ! Reg Conn Park is the place to be – where the day is filled with activities for the whole family; including face-painting for kids of all ages, horseshoe tournaments, wood branding and more. Learn the ways of the ‘wild old west’ as you observe and try your hand at the black powder, ferrier, roping and packhorse demonstrations . The refreshment gardens offer a cool break for the adults. Live music brings a special, cheerful ambiance to the festivities; welcoming you to stay and visit with new friends and old. Art exhibits, craft and fresh market booths - all tempt you to take home a special treat. Pancake breakfast, fresh corn on the cob, hot, hot dogs, fresh bannock or the steak dinner – pick your favorite, or try them all. Home cooking at its best !
