What is GeoCaching?

About the GeoCaching Event

This years event will involve our various communities within Gold Country and stretch over a four day period. Geocaches will remain active after the event is over Join us on September 4th, 2015 to kick off another exciting Gold Country experience! Entertainment, games, vendors, prizes and a “motherlode” of family fun to enjoy! The Gold Country Cache for Gold adventure will be a gold rush/trail theme, with fun and adventure all along the way as you explore historical and cultural routes and trails. You will even have a chance to win a real gold bar! This will be the start of the 4 day event with the journey beginning in Lytton and ending in Merritt. Come for one or all of these eventful days! There will be new caches and points of interest to be found all over Gold Country!


Day 1 – September 1st
Savona BC

Join us for Day one of the weekend as we kick it off in Savona Community Park 4pm – 7pm. Meet and Greet with other geocachers, trackable drop off station and of course door prize draws! Lots of entertainment and fun!


Day 2 – September 2nd
Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park

ay Join us in Lac La Jeune Provincial Park at the beach park from 11am to 1pm.


Day 3 – September 3rd
Merritt BC

Merritt will play host to the release of the 8 new geocaches that are celebrating Canada’s 150 birthday. Kick off the day with a pancake breakfast before the “great 8” are released in Merritt’s Rotary Park 9am – 12pm.


Day 4 – September 4th
Lytton BC

The final day of the event brings us to Lytton to see how everyone “caches” in!!Join us at the Caboose Park on Fraser Ave. 11am – 1pm for the final day of the adventure.
